 Size Your Waste

At A&A Recycling Services Ltd., we make waste wood recycling easy. Whether you generate a small volume of off-cuts or large-scale industrial waste, we have the right collection and processing solution for you.

Step 1: Identify Your Waste Wood Grade

We accept a wide range of waste wood, classified into three main grades:

Grade A – Clean Wood

  • Unpainted, untreated pallets, crates, and packaging
  • Softwood and hardwood timber off-cuts
  • Wooden cable drums

Not accepted: MDF, chipboard, plywood, plastics, metals, rubber, or hazardous materials.

Grade B – Non-Hazardous Treated Wood

  • Pallets and crates with minor surface coatings such as water-based paint
  • Construction and demolition waste, including wooden beams, floorboards, and roof trusses
  • Painted or stained solid wood

Not accepted: MDF, OSB, chipboard, laminated materials, or hazardous wood treatments.

Grade C – Mixed Waste Wood

  • Chipboard, MDF, plywood, OSB
  • Board-based furniture and flat-pack products
  • Composite materials

Not accepted: Hazardous wood, such as creosote-treated timber, railway sleepers, and telegraph poles.

Grade D – Hazardous Waste Wood is not accepted by A&A Recycling. This includes chemically treated materials such as CCA-treated timber, railway sleepers, and telegraph poles.

Step 2: Measure Your Waste Volume

Understanding your waste volume will help us provide the most efficient collection service.

  • Small Waste Producers: Occasional collections for businesses generating limited amounts of wood waste.
  • Medium Waste Producers: Regular scheduled collections for ongoing waste streams.
  • Large Waste Producers: High-volume processing for industrial-scale waste wood generators.
